PJ Harvey Signs Global Publishing Deal With EMI Music Publishing

London, 26 January 2011 – EMI Music Publishing, the world’s leading publisher of popular music, today announced that it has inked a worldwide co-publishing deal with British musician and songwriter PJ Harvey.

Ahead of the release of her highly anticipated eighth studio album ‘Let England Shake’ - which is already garnering five star reviews - on 14th February, the new long-term deal will see EMI Music Publishing represent her back catalogue and new material. Harvey was first represented by EMI Music Publishing from 1992 - 2001.

A multi-talented songwriter and musician, PJ Harvey's extensive catalogue of material includes albums ‘Dry’, ‘Rid of Me’, ‘To Bring You My Love,  and the 2001 Mercury Prize winning ‘Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea’. As one of the UK’s best known  international performers, Harvey’s creativity has lent itself to numerous collaborations with artists including Nick Cave, Thom Yorke, Bjork, Josh Homme (Queen’s of the Stonage), Sparklehorse, Hal Wilner Pascal Comelade and Tricky. She has also  contributed original material to numerous soundtracks, notably Batman Forever, The Cradle Will Rock by Tim Robbins & Basquiat by Julian Schnabel.

PJ Harvey has achieved success on both sides of the Atlantic receiving five Grammy Award nominations and seven BRIT award nominations throughout her 20-year career. In 1992 Rolling Stone magazine named her Best Songwriter of the Year & Best New Female Singer. She is also the only artist ever to have been nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize three times,winning it for her album ‘Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea’.
